Songwritting ensemble

With so many talented aspiring songwriters at AMS, we had to put together a class where students can explore their ideas and learn new techniques for brainstorming new song ideas! In this class, we will cover each of these elements of songwriting; chords, form, melody, lyrics, and style/production. Throughout the class new free-writing techniques will be incorporated to inspire new ideas, as we dive into basic song theory on the topic that week, and help each student develop one of their own original ideas to finish a song by the end of the class session. On the final week, we will help each student record their own song and send it home with them! No instrument needed (just vocalists welcome) and singing is not required (for instrumentalists).
