Born and raised in Denver, Catherine Stump’s love for music started when she was seven years old, learning piano and music theory at Children’s Music Academy. She then started singing, dancing, and acting in musical theatre productions in/outside of school and participated in school choirs. She sang in Rocky Mountain Children's Choir for 3 years where they toured Washington D.C. and four main cities in Germany. She started taking professional voice lessons in 6th grade, where she was trained classically, with emphasis on singing foreign languages, opera/aria art songs, and developing healthy technique which truly fueled her passion for being a solo professional singer. With that, she learned how to sing contemporary styles, leaning towards jazz, r&b/soul, musical theatre, pop, rock, and funk, learning how to be a performer/entertainer and finding her own unique voice. She graduated high school at Denver School of the Arts with an arts endorsed diploma, majoring in Vocal Performance. During this time, she started her own business teaching private music lessons and vocal coaching, and loved it so much, she hasn’t stopped since! She auditioned and got accepted into Berklee College of Music in Boston where she studied as a voice principal for her degree in Professional Music. She enjoys doing gigs with her band in Colorado, enjoying the nature, and cuddling with her cat, Diego. Music is definitely her passion and sharing the gift of music to others is something she takes deep pride in.
