Daniel Hogans

I grew up playing in church and now play gigs all around Colorado and other states. I started my undergrad at fort Lewis college in Durango for 2 years for classical percussion and jazz drum set and then transferred to Metro University where I studied and played with Ron Miles, Paul Romaine, Justin Adams, and Dave Devine. I started studying piano at age 8, and started playing drums at age 10. I Began studying with a great drummer Chad Johnson and then studied for years with recent Berklee school of music faculty member Henrique Almeida, who is one of my primary references. I teach piano, drum set and music theory. I teach beginner to advanced drum set. My experiences are based n Jazz, gospel, country western, CCM classical percussion, rock, funk, Brazilian samba, hip hop and afro cuban. I have performed with people such as Ron Miles, Henry Butler, Dave Devine, world renowned jazz and classical musician Trent Austin. Also outside of Jazz I have performed along side and opened for artists such as Flying Lotus, poet of the flobots Stephen Bracket, School Boy Q, WuTang Clan, and others.
