Aaron melon


Aaron picked up the trumpet on a whim in elementary school where he found a lifelong passion, and started pursuing the trumpet seriously in high school. Aaron began his studies at Metro State University as a Classical Trumpet Performance Major before transferring to the Jazz and American Improvised Music Program. While at MSU Aaron has participated in a wide variety of MSU Denver Ensembles including: Big Band, Jazz Combos, Mariachi Los Correcaminos, African Drum and Dance, Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and The CU Denver Claim Jumpers.

During the summer of 2016 Aaron participated in the School of Improvised Music, where he received instruction from and performed. The previous summer he participated in The Clifford Brown Jazz Trumpet Consortium and performed at the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival.

After graduating from MSU Denver Aaron looks forward to continued pursuit of his musical endeavors.

As a music educator Aaron encourages students to build a life long love and appreciation for music and the arts.
